Camping Le Chauvieux

Hello. I went to this campsite the first two weeks of August for the first time. My stay was bad! Looks like this campsite looks great but in fact it is the opposite already: The negative points: - First of all there is no petanque court obliged to play in the aisles even for contests Or we have to go to the municipal campsite next door but with the obligation to pay a drink. -Then the boss is nice with the regulars, not even hello ect. Same for the one who cleans the pool, the woman who takes care of the bar only a person is nice is the one who monitors the pool. -As for the extremely disappointed animation, certainly two animations per week including one for children and one for us (adults and teens), the first was nice it was a dj evening but the second was a country evening so not really for my taste and that of other campers. Basically I was able to have fun only once in two weeks -And finally the worst of the worst for me is that the bar / snack & the grocery store are off the campsite that is to say after the barriers so for me it is not part of the camping and suddenly the evenings are made to the bar and everyone can even come from the aliens camping so safety level will iron. Good points: (There are anyway) - Cleanliness (the toilets are cleaned twice a day and the showers 1 or 2 times I think) - The pitches (especially with the sink on the very convenient location) -The price of the bar (cheap drink ex: pastis 1.50 monaco 2.60, entrecote-fries-salad 13 euros) - The cook of the bar (his dishes are es-who) Now that I do the - and the + I will give you some information: -The pool is much smaller than on the site -There is no beach as the site says only a dune -The playgrounds for children are very good but in full sun - Impossible to make a full night especially in tent because each of the 4 campsites around make nights ex chauvieux on Wednesday, the municipal Thursday ect. -The supermarket is VERY expensive -At the arrival they tell us that the wifi is free but in reality it's only 10 minutes a day -There is a friendly pool attendant but not every day. -And last point is that there are 6 toilets for women but only 2 have the light of day others are in the dark except the evening with the light but the day obliged to pee in the dark or to wait one of the two toilets with daylight is released. I think I said everything, for info I did a lot of camping either in the south or in Ardèche and this one was for me the worst. I think this campsite may appeal to people who just want a place to sleep and therefore visit the day and go out at night. Do not go with teens, if you are a couple in their twenties / thirties or a family looking for a campsite with entertainment. In spite of that Salavas is a very beautiful village and the Ardèche a very beautiful area, I think next year return in Ardèche but in another campsite. I will give this campsite a 3/10 In conclusion I have only one sentence to say: DO NOT RELY TO THE SITE that looks perfect. Have a good day / evening
