"A campsite to flee"

Bad management of the campsite (seasonal workers had the mission to "piss off" the campers / sleepless nights, barking dog) apparently since the beginning of the season :( Location mobilhome tiny (having however booked in April a place bus + three tents Small sanitary facilities and poorly maintained (some toilets are Turkish) Showers no way to adjust the temperature of the water Primary dish location Repeated electricity failure We left the campsite three days before the end of our stay (tired) No commercial gesture to our departure despite the circumstances (septic tank that overflows, but it is a detail) Do not pay the totality of your stay on arrival or take a cancellation insurance !!!

In the region of New Aquitaine, in the Gironde department, the 3-star municipal campsite L'Océan de Carcans invites you to spend sporting moments or pure relaxation, on the Medocain coastline, between pine forest, lake and ocean.

Within this campsite close to the sandy beaches of the Atlantic coast and near Lake Hourtin, you will find nearly 450 shady pitches, with access to an electrical connection, designed to receive your camping. because, tents and caravans.

For leisure, you will not be left out thanks to this environment conducive to multiple outdoor activities. On site, you will have access to two petanque courts, ping-pong tables, a playground for the delight of your toddlers and a volleyball court. You can also rent bikes to go on a ride through the 150 km of bike paths.

A golden beach awaits you just 150 meters to practice swimming and sunbathing in the sun or to introduce you to surfing or to many other sliding sports. The surrounding pine forest is the ideal place for hikes or orientation races with friends or family. Finally the natural freshwater lake nearby, known as the largest in France, will welcome among others your pedal boats and windsurfers.

To appease your little appetites, the campsite's grocery store, where you will find different products to cook your meals, will welcome you with open arms.

From this campsite located 50 km from Bordeaux and the Bassin d'Arcachon, enjoy some good wines in the heart of the vineyards, discover the three protected natural sites and attend the many summer events of Lacanau, Hourtin and Carcans!
