In Occitania, in the department of Lozere, in Cassagnas, the camping L'Espace Stevenson, named after the famous Scottish writer who paid tribute to this beautiful country, welcomes you in its green field in the heart of the Cevennes, perched at about 700 meters above sea level and bordering the river Mimente.
In this campsite close to the river, you can stay comfortably in the choice of guest rooms, tastefully decorated, 2, 4 or 5 places, in dormitories in a cottage that can accommodate between 2 and 8 people or in mobile homes perfectly equipped for 4 to 6 holidaymakers. Also available for your tents, motorhomes and caravans, large shaded and delimited sites, with or without electrical connection. Note that the campsite also offers the welcome of groups, riders and hikers on donkeys accompanied by their mounts.
Apart from a playground for children, a ping-pong table and a petanque, it will be more on the side of the surrounding nature that you will find your happiness in the leisure level. In fact, the river is just a stone's throw away, where you can enjoy swimming, fishing and water sports, and the trails are perfect for horse riding, hiking and cycling.
To satisfy all appetites, you can enjoy, in the dining room or on its pleasant terrace sheltered by the vegetation, the bar-restaurant offering including breakfast service, open buffet with local specialties, picnic baskets and snacks. In addition, you will find on site a deposit of bread and various wines on sale.
From this quiet and natural campsite, visit the typical cities of Florac or Saint-Jean-du-Gard, take the paths GR67, GR70 or GR72 and go to the discovery of the Cevennes National Park, classified world heritage by UNESCO!
